Battery cell production: Commission considering subsidies for operating costs

The next strategic dialogue on the future of the automotive industry is expected only after the summer break. Before then, manufacturers must agree on a position regarding fleet emissions targets. The Commission is considering granting them subsidies to cover operating costs in battery cell production.
