Arrow 3: Controversial start in Holzdorf

On Wednesday, the Bundeswehr is declaring initial capability for the Arrow air defense system. This will enable it to defend against ballistic missiles outside the earth’s atmosphere. The question whether the Bundeswehr needs the system – at a cost of around four billion euros – at all is controversial.
