Fraunhofer study: Europe likely remains dependent on battery imports

According to a study, the EU target of 90% self-sufficiency in batteries by 2030 is unlikely to be achievable. However, the authors assume that the proportion of European batteries will increase. The fact that Northvolt has now also filed for bankruptcy in Sweden is not a good sign.

COP30: Virtual pre-summit in April.

With a pre-summit meeting, the UN and the Brazilian COP presidency want to persuade tardy countries to submit their climate plans as soon as possible. So far, only 19 countries have done so. A virtual meeting is therefore planned for April.
