The EU can achieve its climate targets with intermodal freight transport

Shifting freight transport from road to rail has been a goal of the European Union since 2001. However, the market share of road freight transport has been rising ever since and consequently, so have CO2 emissions. This trend can be reversed by combined freight transport.
