Von der Leyen does not categorically reject cooperation between EPP and ECR

The lead candidate of the Christian Democratic party family in the European elections, Ursula von der Leyen, is not categorically ruling out cooperation between the EPP and the conservative ECR party family. This was her response to a question from Bas Eickhout (Greens) at the Maastricht Debate 2024, a debate with the candidates of the other party families.
