LNG: Few new terminals established in Europe

Although LNG transports are still in demand in Europe, the boom in new liquefaction capacities is clearly leveling off.

The LNG terminal boom following the 2022 energy crisis is slowly coming to a standstill. An NGO warns of stranded investments in the face of falling gas demand. The IEA attributes the falling demand to one particular technology.
