EU negotiations on new genetic engineering techniques continue to be delayed

The Belgian EU Council Presidency is not yet aiming to reach an agreement among the 27 agriculture ministers this month on relaxing EU genetic engineering legislation, meaning that the window of opportunity before the European elections is narrowing. There could be movement on the side of the EU Parliament this week.
