EU Council President Michel runs for the European Parliament

In the European elections, Charles Michel intends to stand as the first candidate for the liberal Belgian party Mouvement Réformateur. If he enters the European Parliament, he will resign his position as President of the Council early. There is criticism of his decision, including within the Renew Group.
