EGF funds: Council wants to support employees even before they lose their jobs

In Brussels, German Labor Minister Bärbel Bas and her counterparts have agreed on more aid for employees on the brink of unemployment. Now the EU Parliament has to decide its position on expanding the European Globalization Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers (EGF).
