Teresa Ribera – Environmentalist becomes competition watchdog

She could become the second most powerful woman in Europe. The Spaniard Teresa Ribera has been appointed Competition Commissioner by Ursula von der Leyen. The high-profile environmental politician now has the main task of preventing conflicts between industrial and climate policy.
