Second Von der Leyen coalition in place before election

The EPP, S D and Renew are largely in agreement on forming an informal coalition to support a second Von der Leyen Commission: The content, personnel, composition, and distribution of committee chairs have largely been negotiated. This is seen as an assurance that Ursula von der Leyen will get a majority in parliament today.
