ECJ ruling on standards unsettles industry

The Luxembourg judges of the ECJ have ruled that four standards must be made freely accessible. If this principle were to apply to all standards, it would undermine the current fee-funded standardization system. Among other concerns, the industry fears greater intervention by the Commission.
