Trilogue agreement: money for carbon removals only with positive environmental impact

Those who remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere are to be financially rewarded in Europe. This was agreed upon by the EU Parliament, Council and Commission in the trilogue. However, different rules apply to different types of carbon removal.
