Power plant strategy: How new gas power plants with 12.5 GW are planned to emerge

In 2028, Germany plans to introduce a capacity market for power plants to secure electricity generation against potential issues. As a first step towards this goal, the government has now presented plans to tender new hydrogen-ready gas power plants.
