Energy transition: Why so many large batteries are being connected to the grid

Wider price spreads in the electricity market, lower hardware costs: In March, large-scale batteries with a capacity of around 600 MWh were connected to the grid, marking the highest monthly increase in capacity ever recorded. However, energy storage systems cannot do everything.
