US plans for Venezuela’s oil: “It’s about controlling capital flows”

The United States’ plans for the Venezuelan oil industry were primarily intended to secure US dominance in the global financial system, says climate economist Charlotte Bez, adding that the EU should oppose this “logic of economic colonialism and power politics.”
