The COP deal: A grueling outcome, minimal targets and procedural errors

The COP30 ended one day late. Multilateralism, the Paris Agreement and the UNFCCC process were retained as minimal goals. Only minor progress was made on phasing out fossil fuels, adaptation financing and forest protection.
