Climate models overestimate CO2 storage in rainforests

The Paris climate goals can only be achieved through CO2 storage in large forest areas. However, research shows alarming results: The forest in the Congo Basin stores less CO2 than assumed. Researchers are now discussing how common climate models need to be corrected.
