China: Weak methane plan as prelude to COP diplomacy

Shortly before the summit meeting between Joe Biden and Xi Jinping in San Francisco, China presented a long-awaited strategy for reducing methane emissions. Although the plan lacks ambition, it could be an important signal from the two climate superpowers ahead of the next climate conference.
