Emissions trading: How the EU and Chinese systems are converging

China plans to expand its Emission Trading System (ETS) to include three new sectors, partly as response to EU’s carbon-based trade policies such as Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). However, large price discrepancy still exists between China’s and the EU’s ETS.
