China strengthens military cooperation in the Indian Ocean

China intends to deepen its cooperation with the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Nepal – much to the chagrin of its major rival, India. Just a few months ago, Beijing achieved a strategic victory in the struggle for dominance in the Indian Ocean.
