An ASEAN survey shows a trend toward China – and concerns about Beijing's influence

In the race between the US and China for influence in Southeast Asia, Beijing has taken a narrow lead for the first time: According to a reputable survey, over half consider China their preferred partner. However, many are still concerned about the growing influence of the People's Republic.
