Beijing wants to play neutral role in the Middle East

China's peace initiative in the Middle East did not just come out of the blue. It is the result of years of involvement in the region and will permanently change the power structures there. The People's Republic will not replace the USA – but Beijing will now be an alternative.

Words for Ukraine, deeds for China

Xi and Putin stand firmly united

But any official trips by foreign politicians to Taiwan are automatically of a political nature. If only because China sees them as a political move.
