Stark-Watzinger in Taiwan: Visit with a political touch

German Minister of Education and Research, Bettina Stark-Watzinger, has signed a science and technology agreement in Taipei. She describes her stay as a "professional visit". But any official trips by foreign politicians to Taiwan are automatically of a political nature. If only because China sees them as a political move.
