CATL in Hungary secures battery cell supply for Mercedes

Contrary to several media reports, Mercedes is not involved in the CATL plant in Hungary – but the German automaker will be the largest customer. In this way, the supply chains are to be diversified and localized. This is part of the Stuttgart company's e-offensive, for which Chinese partners continue to play a critical role. Meanwhile, CATL could face a shortage of skilled labor in Hungary.
