Spain and Portugal: Days with heaviest rainfall one-third more intense today

The extreme rainfall in Spain, Portugal and Morocco at the beginning of the year was 11% more intense as a result of climate change. Daily peak rainfall was even 30% more severe, according to an analysis by World Weather Attribution (WWA). Nearly 50 people died in the floods.

Paris Agreement: This is how many hot days the NDCs could prevent

The Paris Agreement would prevent 57 additional hot days per year worldwide, according to an analysis by WWA and Climate Central. The prerequisite is that all countries fulfill their NDCs.
