Belgium introduces a repair index based on the French model. Consumer associations are satisfied, while professional associations doubt the usefulness of a national index.

Consumers granted right to repair

The European Parliament and member states have agreed: Manufacturers of smartphones, televisions or washing machines will be obliged to offer repair services. Governments are also expected to create financial incentives such as repair vouchers.
