After court ruling: dispute on glyphosate ban continues

The national ban on glyphosate has been lifted again in Luxembourg. One reason: the active ingredient is still approved in the EU until at least the end of the year. While the agricultural industry insists on a continuation, toxicologists and environmentalists call for a ban. The German government also wants to stick to its plans to ban the herbicide.

The dispute over pesticides continues

To stop the decline in ecological diversity and the pollution of soil, air and water, toxic pesticides must be significantly reduced. The EU is working on a law to this effect. But the rifts are deep and the project could even fail altogether.

Outlook: the EU agricultural policy's agenda for the fall
