GPAI Code of Conduct: Lobbycontrol and CEO appeal to ombudswoman.

The NGO Lobbycontrol and its partner organization Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO) have raised concerns about conflicts of interest in the creation of the Code of Conduct for General-Purpose AI – and claim the European Commission has failed to respond. The organization is now turning to the European Ombudswoman.

Umwelthilfe refuses transparency on major donations from 2021

Umwelthilfe received around €5 million from donations and gifts in 2021. The organization refuses to be transparent about 15 of 17 major donations, although it was required to do so according to the rules of the lobby register in the Bundestag. These are donations from natural and legal persons with a total volume of €1.5 million.
