Fossil fuels: Church institutions launch divestment initiative

Church institutions in Germany are launching the largest divestment initiative from fossil fuels to date. Over 1,700 organizations worldwide have already withdrawn from investments in coal, oil and gas.

Vatican: New NDC and own climate conference

The Papal States wants to reduce its emissions by 28% by 2035 and preach climate protection. At the beginning of October, a special conference hosted by Pope Leo XIV will debate the consequences of the encyclical "Laudato Si."
