Authorities grant licenses for genetically modified maize and soya

China plans to plant genetically modified seeds for several maize and soybean varieties in 13 regions under state supervision. The authorities issued the first licenses to this effect. Pilot projects for green genetic engineering have been running since 2021.

Political agreement on CO2 fleet limits for trucks

The political agreement on CO2 fleet limits for heavy commercial vehicles does not envisage the end of combustion engines for city buses until 2035. Trailers will be regulated for the first time in 2030. The review is due in 2027.
