EU Environment Committee votes on genetic engineering

Today, Wednesday, the responsible environment committee in the EU Parliament could vote in favor of relaxing EU genetic engineering legislation. However, the outcome of the vote is not yet certain – and is likely to depend on individual MEPs.

Voluntary emissions trading resumed

China has resumed voluntary carbon credits trading, initially only for previously approved projects. New approvals, including for solar thermal energy and offshore wind power, are expected.

Beijing props up battered stock markets
