IPCC: Open questions after planning for the seventh assessment report

At its 62nd plenary session in Hangzhou, China, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) decided on the scope and structure of the seventh assessment report. However, an important part of the timetable was postponed again. This could affect the work on the next Global Stocktake.

Austria: New government with three-party coalition formed

Following the final go-ahead at the general meeting of the Neos as the smallest coalition partner, a three-party coalition has been formed in Austria. The cabinet under the new Chancellor Christian Stöcker (ÖVP) is to be sworn in on Monday.

Auto dialog: What the action plan to save the industry will look like

The Commission has sent a paper to the participants of the Strategic Dialogue on Cars in preparation for the final round on Monday. Demands from manufacturers and suppliers, for example to avert the penalties and end the phase-out of combustion engines, are not addressed. The industry is disillusioned.
