MFF: Why the new own resources do not offer any real added value

The European Commission plans to introduce a tax on electronic waste or a separate tobacco tax. However, the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) financial expert warns that these new sources of funding for the EU would not relieve the burden on national budgets as promised.
