ECJ upholds Belgian decision on cookie banners

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has deemed the decision of the Belgian Data Protection Authority to be lawful, ruling that the Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) is not compatible with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Practically all European cookie banners are based on the TCF.

Agreement on Peace Facility in sight
