Turning away from Russia: Moldova to leave the CIS in April 2027

After 35 years, the Republic of Moldova will leave the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Its membership in the organization will formally end on April 1, 2027. The country’s population supports the government’s pro-Western course.
