Pushbacks in Finland: Why legalization is problematic

Helsinki wants to push back refugees at the border with Russia without examining their asylum applications – even though comparatively few people seeking protection are arriving. To this end, the controversial pushbacks are to be legalized. Finland is facing criminal proceedings from Brussels as a result.
