Coalition negotiations in Austria failed

The conservative ÖVP and the right-wing populist FPÖ have been unable to agree on a joint government. Federal President Van der Bellen now wants to meet with party representatives and find a way out of the political impasse. New elections or a minority government are also conceivable.
