Wildfires: Why half of South America is shrouded in smoke

The wildfire season in Bolivia and Brazil is particularly destructive this year. The smoke is spreading to neighboring countries and the EU's Copernicus Earth observation program is reporting "exceptionally high" emissions. NGOs call on Brazil's President Lula to step up his climate action efforts.
