Tenant protection in the Building Energy Act: Many questions remain unanswered despite the agreement

The CDU/CSU and SPD have announced an agreement on tenant protection in the German Building Energy Act: If landlords install gas heating systems, they will be required to cover half of the costs associated with the CO₂ price, grid fees and biogas. However, key details are still missing – such as what percentage of the energy will come from biogas.
