F-gases: An underestimated source of emissions in southwestern Germany

A new study by the German Federal Environment Agency has identified a previously underestimated source of SF6 (sulfur hexafluoride) emissions in southwestern Germany. The findings challenge earlier assumptions about the distribution of F-gases in Germany, which are potent drivers of global warming.
