The British renewables expert will head the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for the next few years and coordinate the work on the 7th Assessment Report. He prevailed against three competitors from Belgium, Brazil and South Africa and aims to make the IPCC more inclusive.
