CDU: Climate Union backs compromise proposal on climate target

The biggest party in Germany’s governing coalition, the conservative CDU, is temporarily defusing its internal dispute over climate policy. A new motion for the party conference proposes sticking to net zero by 2045, while calling for an open debate on competitiveness and social balance.

Der norwegische Energiekonzern Statkraft errichtete mit einem 46,4-MW-Solarpark und 16-MW-Batteriespeicher hier die erste eigenentwickelte Erneuerbare-Energien-Anlage und gleichzeitig bundesweit das größte Kraftwerk. Battery storage: Strong growth in Europe

The market for stationary battery storage in the European Union grew by 45% in 2025. For the first time, large-scale storage systems accounted for a majority share of 55%, while the share of home storage systems fell to 36%.
