ETS II: EU determines credit quantity for transport and buildings

The starting credit quantity in the new emissions trading system (ETS II) for transport and buildings was determined on Tuesday. Around one billion credits will be issued once trading commences in 2027. Experts expect carbon prices to be significantly higher than in ETS I.
