WTO Ministerial Conference: Taiwan absent for the first time since 2001

Taiwan is not attending the WTO Ministerial Conference. Host country Cameroon had described the island as a “province of China.” The United States sees this as yet another attempt by Beijing to intimidate Taiwan.
