US special tariffs: Why a tariff race with China is now looming

The USA wants to limit its trade deficit with China by imposing drastic special tariffs. On Tuesday, the White House announced 100 percent on Chinese e-cars and 50 percent on semiconductors and solar modules. Scholz continues to reject punitive tariffs.
