New KMT Chairwoman: Cheng Li-wun promises peace with China

Taiwan’s largest opposition party, the Kuomintang, elected a new leader on Saturday, promising peace with its powerful neighbor China. Accusations of Chinese influence had previously overshadowed the election campaign.
