China to mediate in Ukraine crisis again

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - JULY 25, 2019: The Ambassador of the People s Republic of China (PRC) to Russia Li Hui, at a tree planting ceremony in Sokolniki Park marking the 70th anniversary of Russia and China establishing diplomatic ties.

Beijing is sending its diplomat Li Hui for the second time to mediate in the Ukraine crisis. His first trip to the warring parties in May 2023 failed to produce any tangible results.
