Rejection of the UN Green Climate Fund

China has now become the largest CO2 emitter, yet it refuses to participate in the UN fund for financing climate action in developing countries. The People's Republic intends to allocate funds only through self-managed channels. China's climate financing remains opaque and falls far short of its own commitments.
