Meeting in Beijing: Taiwan's ex-President Ma and Xi Jinping present themselves as old friends

Taiwan's ex-president Ma Ying-jeou met with Xi Jinping in Beijing on Wednesday afternoon. It happened to be on the same day Japan and the USA were negotiating a new security architecture for the region. The meeting in Taiwan has sparked mixed reactions.
